I've seen many of them. Although there are very good ideas, all are overpowered.
This game really focuses on balance, so it is important to think the power of each proposal.
Some hints:
Armors:
look at what already exists and stick to it. Any armor mod must be in terms of AL bonuses or energy bonuses. If you are a caster, 60 AL is the basis. More come s at a cost (70 for necros but increased damage against Holy).
Attributes: Compare with other profession attributes. Generally, the primary attribute is an energy management attribute. For classes not relying on energy but other way to use their skills (like AD), it can be a slight overall bonus.
Skills:
For each skill you propose, compare with an existing skill which has a similar effect. If a skill is better than an existing one, then it must have drawbacks (higher cost, longer cast, longer recharge, exhaustion, whatever).
Study the possible exploits.

I agree with you Glountz, they are overpowered but we have to expect ideas to be overpowers, simply because they're ideas and not something people are hammering on and thinking about at the moment.
Ken Dei, I think your thread here is an excellent idea and I say you need to ask a Mod to Sticky This thread and allow you to continue to add Concepts as they come

The merits of each class can be discussed at length in the threads themselves.

I think what the two of us where talking of was how all of them (not just one) in general seem to be overpowered in their current forms. Not discussing the merits of any one class, just saying how most seem overpowered.

With all those great concept classes... Do you think there will be an interest for a Dualist/Fencer/Pirate? (not sure should I put some time to write it yet....)

Thanks Ken Dei. Good to know someone else out there wants to keep all these good ideas easily accessable.
Hope you don't mind, I'll put these up in the main index thread too. But keep this thread going. If anyone has a fairly recently made thread for a class idea/concept, PM Ken so he can add it here. I shall, in turn, add it to the main index.
Great work all, it's nice to see such a spring of creativity.

I agree, if this thread keeps going for a while and becomes a decent profession index I'll make it a sticky so we don't lose it. Good to have things like this every so often as they're needed.

I keep track of the suggestion forum a few times a day, even if I don't get a PM I should catch most of the well thought out, creative and relatively well done concept classes. Even if I personally don't like the class, if someone put the effort in, they will be on here.

Keep it up Ken, great work. I'll put this as a link in the main index, since profession ideas and concepts are somewhat different to your average idea/suggestion that might be listed in there. Therefore, the professions listed in there can be taken out and listed in here.
Please list these old ones that were in the main index:
actionjack's Alchemist:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=82248
actionjack's Druid:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=84221
Brendon Stormcrow's Druid:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=81772
Rieselle's Strategist:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=35815
Benmanhaha's Retiarii:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=76800
Jesh's Wirefighter:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=81191
Bale Shadowscar's Shaman:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=85242
Konoha Flash's Shaman:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=78876
Also, list the names of the makers beside the other ones. This will help because
1) There may be multiples of the same class 'name' such as two shamans, two druids, etc. (not that we encourage people to post ideas of classes that have been posted before, but different 'concepts' of the same thing are ok)
2) Some people go into a fair deal of time and effort to put up a class concept/idea, and should be recognised for it.
I say, continue with the creativity people!

More than half of them are overpowered, have no bearings in the GW world, relate too closely to other classes, or are completely useless. No joke, I'm being completely serious. Just completely BAN class concepts altogether, we don't need to see this rubbish. If you want to make up your own class concept, make it in the Art section, that's where it belongs. Of course this would require you to actually have art, which means you have to have had put some decent effort into it instead of just thinking that something was cool and to put it in, then realizing 10 seconds later than you can teleport inside the guild by using consume corpse on the NPCs.

Kai, what crawled up your rear and croaked? I think doing this in Sardelac area is perfect, as we know ANET team members do look at these forums and likely get ideas or perhaps we even futher their ideas with having all of these Concept classes.
None of them are officaly coming into Guildwars, surely you've seen that. And of course they're over powered! It happens when your firstly creating things and trying to find the balance for them, they're ideas and ideas are often over powered at first untill people continue to work on them to tame them and make them reasonable and likeable.
And King, I think Ken would have appreicated if you PM'd him those instead of posting them here, as he does ask that in the opening topic post.

Good point, though, once Ken has added them to his post I will delete them from that post. I also wanted to point out that it would be good to list the names of the makers beside the links.
